The Clermont Health Center uses two extraordinary natural healing factors: mofetta and carbonated mineral water (carbon dioxide baths), unique in Europe due to their high CO2 content. Through their recognized therapeutic qualities, these natural healing factors make Covasna a resort of strategic importance, of European value, focused on preventing and treating the most common conditions among the European population – cardiovascular diseases.
Natural mofetta increases blood flow through CO2 penetration both through the skin and at the muscular level. The direct action on the smooth muscle of blood vessels is considered superior to peripheral vasodilator medications.
Mineral water baths combine the effect of the thermal factor with the chemical factor and the hydrostatic pressure of water. Carbon dioxide slowly settles on the skin forming a film of CO2 bubbles that exercises active vasodilation through microtactile stimulation of the skin, having a special effect: increased blood circulation and improved peripheral circulation.
Combining the same therapeutic factor CO2 in the form of mofetta and mineral water baths creates a cumulative vasodilation effect.
